HEM - Coronavirus Policy

As the situation with COVID-19 progresses and evolves, we continue to ensure that the safety of our residents, team members and contractors working with us is paramount.

We are taking steps to minimize the risk of COVID-19 within our developments. If the cleaning services in your development are continuing they have been notified to pay extra due care and attention to high points of transmission for example, door handles, light switches and lift buttons etc. Where possible, non-essential work will be deferred until a more suitable time which will reduce the traffic in and out of the building. We kindly ask you to also defer where possible any contractors carrying out works inside your apartment as, following the most recent Government notice, contractors should not be carrying out work unless it is of an urgent nature.

We politely ask that if you know of any elderly residents who may be struggling at this time, please do check in and ensure they have enough essentials to keep them going. If you are particularly concerned regarding any residents, please contact us and we will do what we can to assist. All face-to-face meetings up until the end of April have been cancelled or postponed and will be rearranged at an appropriate time. Where possible and feasible to do so, video meetings will take place.

We have now closed our offices and team members are working from home in order to keep the lines of communication with residents open; please do not hesitate to call or email us. We are here to help as far as we possibly can during the current circumstances. With team members working from home, we do kindly ask that you remain patient with us. Like you, many of us are juggling multiple commitments at this time. If you receive a slower response than usual, please do bear with us.

We do understand that many residents may have taken the precaution to self-isolate during these times. Therefore, we would ask that if you have been confirmed as having Coronavirus or been in contact with someone with confirmed Coronavirus, that you notify us immediately. This is for the safety of your building/development and will allow us to ensure that residents and contractors who may be visiting the building are kept safe and notified of any potential risk to them. If there are any confirmed cases of COVID-19 in your building, we will notify Public Health England (PHE) to seek further guidance.

If you rent out your property, please share this information with your tenants. We would also like to highlight the importance of our having current contact information for all owners and residents. As we are now working from home, the most efficient way to maintain contact will be through email, as we will have limited printing resources. If we do not already contact you by email, please contact us as soon as possible with your email address so that we can update our systems.
